Qualifications include GCSEs in English and Mathematics, RSA 2 or equivalent, and knowledge of relevant software. Experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant within the Surgical Division for the Orthopaedics and Specialist Surgery Care Unit. This post will provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical service to the Care Unit. The post involves receiving and handling information which is confidential and therefore the post holder must maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
The successful post holder will be expected to have advanced skills commensurate with their responsibilities. They will work substantially independently, providing support of the highest quality to the Care Unit.
The Administration Assistant will provide range of administrative support services to the Clinical Director, Service Manager and Senior Matron and the other senior members of staff.
Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

We provide acute in‑patient and out‑patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.
