A regional healthcare provider in Bristol is looking for a full-time Admin Assistant for the Bristol Genetics Laboratory. The ideal candidate must have GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or equivalent and experience in administrative roles. Duties include data entry, supporting senior staff, and managing laboratory information systems. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Bristol Genetics Laboratory (BGL) is looking to recruit a Fixed Term 12 months Full time (37.5 hours per week) Band 3 Admin Assistant.
BGL is part of the South West Genomic Laboratory Hub (SW GLH) which is provided by a partnership between North Bristol NHS Trust and the Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust to deliver centralised genomic analysis for patients with cancer and rare disease throughout the South West region.
We are a large, well-equipped laboratory and duties will include data entry and updates to sample records including multiple databases and excel spread sheets.
GCSEs in English and Maths grade C or equivalent level are required.
Candidates will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week between 08:00 – 18:00 Monday - Friday including Saturdays and bank holidays on a rota basis. Exact working pattern will be confirmed on offer of employment.
