Role Overview

As an Admin Assistant, you will support the daily operations of a busy engineering office while gaining hands‑on exposure to the estimating process. This role suits someone proactive, numerate, and keen to develop a long‑term career in the engineering sector.

Progression & Training
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Understanding materials, processes, and job specifications
  • Assisting in preparing quotations and cost breakdowns
  • Using estimating software and internal costing tools

As your skills develop, you will take on more responsibility within the estimating department, progressing to Estimating Assistant.

What They Are Looking For
  • Previous administrative experience (engineering or construction sector beneficial)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Google Sheets and document management
  • Good numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
