Job summary

The British Museum is seeking a Senior Administrator for the African Histories and Heritage Programme. This full-time, 41 hours per week hybrid role based in Bloomsbury, London, offers a three-year fixed-term contract and a salary of £31,979 per annum.

You will provide administrative, financial and operational support to research leads, curators and project teams, helping deliver projects that broaden access to the collection and inform future thinking about Africa galleries.

Qualifications

• Organised and proactive administrator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with financial administration, minute taking and office management.
• Ability to support multiple projects and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver administrative support for the programme.
• Provide secretariat support for governance meetings and track actions.
• Support project teams and external partners across projects.
