Manchester Community College anticipates openings for on-campus adjunct instructors to teach on-campus classes in the area of Welding.

Specific needs include instructors for SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, OFC, PAC, Experience in Fabrication. Evenings & Day Instructors Needed.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major study in Welding. Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education shall require an Associate's degree in a subject area closely related to Welding.

Experience: Three years of teaching experience in Welding or three years of business or industry experience directly related to the field of Welding.

OR

Education: Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major study in Welding. Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Education shall require an Associate's degree in a subject area closely related to Welding.

Experience: Five years of teaching experience in Welding or three years of business or industry experience directly related to the field of Welding.

Preference is given to those with higher education teaching experience, who have used a learning management system (such as Blackboard or Canvas), and who are engaged in community service. Although we are accepting applications, we do not have an immediate need for all disciplines. Your information will stay on file and active.

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

The Vice President of Academic Affairs will determine adjunct levels. Adjunct level will be determined based upon Education and Experience. Rates for Fall 2025 will be:

Level 1 - $825.00 per contact hour for the course

Level 2 - $900.00 per contact hour for the course

Level 3 - $975.00 per contact hour for the course

Courses in Welding are typically 4-6 Contact Hours.
