Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Band 6 Practitioner to join our ADHD team. The practitioner will be responsible for the ADHD pathway within CYPMHS and manage a caseload to assess and provide evidence-based treatment to children and young people who present with ADHD. The post holder will be part of an established, supportive multidisciplinary team and will work to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families/carers.

Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive assessments for children and young people on the ADHD pathway
  • Be a vital part of the ADHD multidisciplinary team and contribute to discussions and reviews regarding diagnosis of ADHD
  • Build therapeutic relationships with children and young people and deliver evidence-based interventions
  • Manage your own caseload of children and young people with a diagnosis of ADHD
  • Liaise with and offer advice to other professionals
  • Contribute to all aspects of positive team functioning
  • Contribute to ongoing service innovations and development
Role and Team

The post holder will support peers and the team coordinator and will be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative. They will supervise other staff members as required and will have a commitment to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies.

Professional Requirements and Benefits

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Organization and Working Arrangements

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across the area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
