Job Description: Learning & Development Trainer - HealthHarmonie Minds (ADHD Assessment Service)

About Medinet Group: HealthHarmonie, part of the Medinet group, is a leading private healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred services across the UK. We work in partnership with NHS organisations nationwide to provide patients with access to community-based healthcare, including Diagnostic Ultrasound, Gynaecology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Minor Surgery.

We are now expanding our services to include HealthHarmonie Minds - an innovative new service providing ADHD assessments and support. To ensure this service delivers the highest standards of care and patient experience, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning & Development Trainer with a background in mental health or neurodiversity.

This role will be based on-site at our Head Office in Edgbaston, Birmingham.

About the role

As our Learning & Development Trainer for HealthHarmonie Minds, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve training programmes for new and existing colleagues working within our ADHD service. Your work will be critical to embedding best practice, clinical sensitivity, and consistent service standards across all patient touchpoints.

You’ll collaborate closely with clinical teams, service managers, and operational leads to ensure every staff member is equipped with the skills, confidence, and understanding required to support patients throughout their ADHD assessment journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging induction and service-specific training for staff supporting ADHD assessments.
  • Work with our mental health professionals to translate complex mental health and neurodevelopmental concepts into practical, accessible learning.
  • Ensure all training aligns with regulatory standards, clinical pathways, and organisational values.
  • Work closely with service managers to identify learning needs and tailor training to individual and team performance goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to enhance communication, empathy, and patient engagement skills.
  • Promote a culture of curiosity, reflection, and continuous improvement within the service.
  • Measure training effectiveness through feedback, performance outcomes, and quality audits.
  • Maintain and regularly update training materials to reflect evolving clinical guidance and best practice.
  • Support the ongoing professional development of team members across the ADHD service.
About You

You’ll be a confident and compassionate trainer with experience in mental health or neurodiversity-focused services, ideally ADHD, autism, or wider mental health settings. You’ll bring a balance of clinical awareness, communication skill, and instructional design capability to help our teams deliver a first-class, patient-led experience.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering training within a healthcare or mental health setting.
  • Strong understanding of mental health, neurodiversity, or ADHD-related service delivery.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Empathetic communication style and the ability to model patient-centred behaviours.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and proactive approach.
  • Experience in evaluating learning effectiveness and implementing improvements.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of ADHD assessment processes or neurodevelopmental care pathways.
