Priory Hospital North London is recruiting for a skilled Addictions Therapist or Counsellor to join our small and dedicated team. This is a Part Time/ 22.5 Hour role, you will be supporting us to deliver a range of Addiction services including our 28-day inpatient programme, Day therapy programme, Aftercare and Outpatient therapy. As part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) this is a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the leading Consultant Psychiatrists in the field of addiction treatment within a forward-thinking private psychiatric hospital environment.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, or a related field, with relevant registration or accreditation. Previous experience working with individuals affected by substance misuse or behavioural addictions is highly desirable. Strong assessment, communication, and motivational interviewing skills are essential, alongside the ability to build therapeutic relationships and manage complex caseloads. A compassionate, non-judgemental approach and commitment to supporting long-term recovery are key qualities for success in this role.
