Job summary

St George's Hospital radiology department is seeking a consultant radiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging across plain radiography, CT, ultrasound and MRI. The post emphasises on-call duties, weekend work and active participation in multidisciplinary meetings.

The role includes undergraduate and registrar teaching, engagement in CPD, and leadership to maintain high-quality imaging services at a major trauma centre. Strong radiology fellowship and GMC registration are essential.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and GMC registration
• CCT in radiology or near completion at interview
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists required

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic radiology service across plain radiography, CT, ultrasound and MRI.
• Oversee and ensure high-quality clinical services within Radiology.
• Carry out acute and emergency work and outpatient reporting.
• Report general adult CT and plain film sessions.
• Participate in on-call rota including weekends.
• Support multidisciplinary meetings and teaching.
• Contribute to training, quality improvement and research activities.
