Job summary

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, seeks an experienced Physiotherapist to join the Acute Oncology Service (AOS) as a locum. The role focuses on cancer patients' early assessment, intervention, and discharge planning to help prevent avoidable hospital admissions.

Working hours are 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential extensions beyond January 2027. Applicants should have HCPC registration, a physiotherapy degree, and acute inpatient

Qualifications

• Physiotherapy degree (BSc) or diploma must be held.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Strong acute inpatient physiotherapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide early assessment and rehabilitation for oncology patients.
• Contribute to discharge planning to enable timely safe discharge.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary oncology team.
