Qualifications

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the acute therapies team within Epsom and St Helier University Trust. The role consists of supporting the therapy teams to provide assessment, treatment and rehab for a wide variety of patients within the acute inpatient setting. There is opportunity for clinical learning and the role sits within a team full of highly skilled and experienced therapists. The team covers most inpatient areas within the acute sites and therefore has a diverse patient group varying from elderly care/frailty, surgical, orthopaedic, respiratory and hyper‑acute clinical areas. The role of acute Occupational Therapy Technical Assistant is to work closely with the qualified therapists to provide hands‑on treatment to patients including physical rehabilitation and promotion of independence. This role is vital in supporting the team to run day to day and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
