Job summary

Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC) is seeking an Actuary to join the Financial Planning & Analysis function within the Finance department. The role collaborates across Finance, Origination, Investments, Risk and other teams to apply FP&A insights for policyholders and shareholders.

Key duties involve forecasting, business planning, stress testing, and responding to shareholder queries while developing technical and non-technical skills.

Qualifications

• Recently (or nearly) qualified actuary.
• Desirable: FP&A experience in UK life insurance.
• Strong knowledge of UK life insurance financial reporting.
• Desirable: knowledge of UK DB pensions & bulk annuities; RAFM modelling.
• Excellent data analysis, judgement and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare regular forecasts and business plans for senior management and shareholders.
• Maintain the weekly Solvency Monitoring tool.
• Assist with PIC’s Business Plan projections with the team.
• Respond to ad‑hoc stakeholder queries with analysis and first drafts.
• Drive learning and development in technical and non‑technical areas.
• Support Stress and Scenario Testing on balance sheet and projections.
