Job summary

Aspida Re Services Ltd. invites an experienced Actuary to support Economic Balance Sheet valuations for Bermuda and non-Bermuda entities within Group reporting.

You will contribute to quarterly and annual valuations, financial and regulatory reporting, forecasting, and strategic analysis with close collaboration across actuarial, finance, risk, and investment teams. You will develop and maintain valuation models, validate data, and ensure timely reporting while incorporating best estimate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, or other numerate discipline.
• FSA or equivalent certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of life (re)insurance experience with valuation and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Bermuda EBS or Solvency II and related standards.
• Proficiency with actuarial modeling software (Moody’s Axis) is required; experience with data languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and run actuarial valuation models with data validations and controls.
• Support quarterly and annual EBS valuations, including BEL, risk margin, and technical provisions.
• Prepare reserve rollforwards and analyze movements explaining impacts.
• Develop and enhance models for existing and new treaties with cashflow projections and SBA modeling.
• Support regulatory filings, capital reporting, and responses to queries from regulators and auditors.
• Contribute to forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses on reserves and capital.
• Participate in experience studies and assess emerging trends; document impact of assumption changes.
• Improve valuation processes through automation and documentation of models.
• Manage competing priorities and deliver reporting and projects on time.
• Monitor Bermuda Monetary Authority developments and implement changes affecting EBS reporting.
