Job summary

A leading actuarial consultancy is seeking an Actuarial Systems Manager to join their team in Dorking. This role involves leading actuarial systems development, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting actuarial trainees. Ideal candidates will be qualified actuaries with a degree in a numerical field and proficiency in SQL and Excel. The position offers a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Actuary – could be newly qualified.
  • A degree in a numerical or analytical subject and/or experience as a current or former actuarial student.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to work across areas such as Solvency II, US GAAP, and UK GAAP reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical insight.
  • Support and coach actuarial trainees.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of actuarial models and data.

  • In this role, you’ll lead and contribute to work across areas such as Solvency II, US GAAP, and UK GAAP reporting, actuarial systems development, and capital modelling.
  • This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of actuarial science, data, and technology—supporting external reporting, driving automation, and enhancing the systems and processes that underpin theirbusiness.
  • You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, provide technical insight, and play a key role in shaping the future of their actuarial systems capabilities.
  • You’ll also support and coach actuarial trainees, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and help ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our actuarial models and data.
