Job summary

Embassy Summer is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Leader to oversee on-site activities and excursions for students aged 10-17. You will lead games, manage fun events, and ensure every student has a remarkable experience while learning in a supportive environment.

This role requires good communication skills and a positive attitude; no previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided. Gross weekly pay is £600.13, and full board accommodation is included.

Qualifications

  • No previous work experience required, but common sense and a positive attitude are necessary.
  • Experience at a summer school preferred.
  • Background in hospitality or customer service is desirable.

Embassy Summer, under its parent company EC English, offers award‑winning summer vacation programmes for young people across multiple locations in the UK, Malta, Spain, South Africa & UAE. Students learn English or Spanish while immersing themselves in the local culture and surroundings. Position Summary

As an Activity Leader, you’ll be the one making things happen! You’ll lead games, trips, and activities, get everyone involved, and make sure every student has an amazing, safe, and unforgettable experience. Think energy, teamwork, and positive vibes all the way.

Key Responsibilities

Organisational Compliance

You’ll be expected to follow the company’s Code of Conduct and any local policies that cover academics, welfare, and safeguarding. You’ll also stick to all health & safety rules, complete required training and follow any control measures from risk assessments.

Education Required

Completed A‑Levels or equivalent.

Extra Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • A valid First Aid Certificate
  • Any specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance
Experience Required
  • No previous work experience? No problem! We’re looking for people with common sense, great communication skills, and a positive attitude. You’ll get full training to do the job well.
Experience Desired
  • Experience at a summer school, especially with people from different cultures
  • Background or qualification in hospitality or customer service
  • Experience in sports coaching, drama, or dance

Working Week
  • 6 days out of 7 (1 day off per week)
  • 42 hours per week
Remuneration

Gross weekly pay: £600.13 (Basic weekly pay: £535.50 + Holiday pay: £64.63). Full board residential accommodation included.

Staff Uniform

All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty. Employees must ensure the uniform is worn properly, maintained in a clean and presentable condition, and always adheres to the company’s dress code standards.

Disclosure and Barring Service

If you do not have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring certificate and are not registered on the DBS update service, we will need to apply for a new Enhanced DBS for you. Please confirm this at the time of application.
