A leading holiday camp organization is seeking an Activity Instructor to ensure the welfare and safety of children during the February holiday camp in Oxford. The role involves leading various structured activities for children aged 6-14, promoting their development through fun and engaging programs. Title: Activity Instructor
Reporting to: Camp Manager
Contract: Seasonal work in school holidays
Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm weekdays
Full season or part season roles available, and additional hours available for staff that hold a paediatric first aid qualification (usually 8am – 6pm).
The role of an Activity Instructor is to ensure the welfare and safety of the children on camp and to deliver outstanding, structured activities.
Using supporting resources, you will be expected to deliver a range of structured activities including sports, arts and crafts, and games catered to the ages of 6‑14 years with an emphasis on participation, care and development.
In return, we provide training and support for all individuals and the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of working in a childcare setting.
As well as leading sessions, staff contribute to the high standard of physical, emotional and social care offered by Ultimate Activity Camps.
Our Activity Instructors have a pastoral role as the leader of a group of children on camp, with the focus being on maintaining welfare and providing high quality care.
All appointments are subject to relevant checks in line with Safer Recruitment guidelines, including, but not limited to, DBS Disclosure checks, identity checks, internet search, employment history and reference checks, and international criminal record checks where required.
