A mental health service provider in Leigh is looking for an experienced Activity Co-ordinator to join their Therapy Team. The role involves planning and implementing individual and group activities in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Flexible timing and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential. An opportunity has arisen to join the Therapy Team at Atherleigh Park Hospital for an Activity Co-ordinator. An interest in a range of creative, social and physical activities and a passion to share your knowledge and skills with people so they progress their Recovery is essential. There are five wards at the hospital for adults and older persons. We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic people to work on our Adult and Older Person wards including our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. It is an established role and the post holders will collaborate in the planning, development and provision of a range of therapeutic, wellbeing and social activities for service users on wards and in our therapy hub.
The Therapy Team consists of Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Psychologists, Activity co-ordinators and Therapy Assistants as well as the ward health care teams. The post involves working with the multi-disciplinary team to promote the use of activity on a ward and off the ward in our Therapy Hub area. You will be working a seven day a week rota between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 and provide patient centred, Recovery based activities with the aim of supporting discharge.
