Due to the nature of this role and the specific needs of the predominantly male patient population within this low secure forensic service, there is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be male. This requirement is necessary to enable the provision of care in situations where patients' privacy, dignity, personal care needs and therapeutic engagement would otherwise be compromised.
The Trust has considered this requirement carefully and believes it to be a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010. Applications from all candidates will be considered on merit, subject to this occupational requirement.
Although we are a registered sponsor organisation, we are unable to offer sponsorship for all job roles. Please check your eligibility under the UKVI points-based system. When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not included to ensure fairness and consistency within our Trust. This role does not currently qualify for employer sponsorship. Applicants must therefore already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK for the duration of the employment.
