Pebble Mill Care Home, 2 Mill Pool Way, Birmingham, B5 7EG

Permanent contract: 14 hours per week; shift pattern 10am‑6pm, including alternate weekends.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Run morning and afternoon activity sessions, including musical acts, days out, exercise classes, community visitors, arts and crafts.
  • Produce and update an activity planner, working within a set activities budget.
  • Support residents and encourage them to participate in activities.
  • Organise birthday surprises for residents.
  • Ensure everything is organised for planned activities, events, performers and days out.
  • Co‑ordinate with external companies and performers from the local community.
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner duties when necessary.
  • Organise one‑to‑ones with residents, using reminiscence tools, puzzles, reading or tea and chat.
  • Update paperwork, care plans, activity notes and manage emails.
  • Support the home with its social media channels as required.
