Job summary

Brooke Knoll Village in Avon, Indiana, is seeking compassionate Activity Assistants to support the Activity Director in developing and delivering meaningful programs aligned with the facility’s philosophy and policies. You will encourage resident participation and help maintain activity records.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Indiana driver’s license, good English communication, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid Indiana driver's license.
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate with residents, families, staff and support agencies.
• Ability to stand and bend for extended periods.
• Knowledge of arts, crafts, music and group activities.

Responsibilities

• Encourage residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• Maintain all records relating to activities and complete paperwork on time.
• Assist with seasonal activities and bulletin boards.
• Complete initial activity interest assessment.
• Assist the Activity Director in integrating the activity department with other departments.

About you

The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

• Must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.

• Must be capable of extended periods of standing and bending.
• Knowledge of arts, crafts, music and group activities.
