Job summary

A residential care provider in Peterborough is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead the activities team. The role involves designing engaging activities, managing budgets, and working closely with residents and their families. You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, along with a creative and empathetic approach to promote wellbeing and happiness among residents. The position is full-time with a flexible schedule to accommodate special events.

In this exciting role, you will lead our activities team in our home. This is a hands‑on role and you will work closely with our care team, residents, relatives/friends and the wider community to provide the very best quality activities to help maintain both physical and mental health. You’ll delight in providing our residents with opportunities to develop new hobbies and maintain current interests. The role is a full‑time job with an agreed 36‑hour schedule over seven days, including alternate weekends.

You’ll need to be flexible, possibly when a special event is planned, as you might work fewer hours during the week and a bit extra in the evening or over the weekend for example.

About You.

Are you a people person who is (very) good at organising? You’ll be a great communicator, and a great planner with an eye for detail. You’ll design our annual activities plans, manage them to a budget, enthuse the home and community to be involved and share stories about life in the home.
