Woodlands Care Home is seeking an Activities Lead to develop and deliver a high quality, person-centred activities programme. You will enhance wellbeing, promote independence and create a stimulating environment for residents.

You will plan and lead group and individual activities, tailored to interests and care needs, including those living with dementia, collaborating with the Home Manager to ensure records are accurate and the programme remains engaging and effective.

Formación

• Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Confident, creative and proactive approach.
• Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.

Activities Lead Contract

• £15.60 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Activities Lead, you will take responsibility for developing and delivering a high quality, engaging and person centred activities programme. The role plays a key part in enhancing wellbeing, promoting independence and creating a positive, stimulating environment.

You will plan and lead both group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs, including those living with dementia. Building strong relationships will enable you to deliver meaningful and inclusive activities that encourage participation and social interaction.

Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will ensure activities are well organised, consistent and aligned with individual care plans. You will also maintain accurate records and continuously review and improve the programme to ensure it remains engaging and effective.
