Job summary

Killelea House in Bury, England is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan, deliver and evaluate a varied programme of meaningful activities that promote residents' wellbeing.

You will coordinate person-centred activities, support engagement and maintain accurate records while building links with local community groups.

A Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification and care setting experience are required; the role offers a competitive hourly rate and a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Has previous experience working within a care setting.
  • Is creative, enthusiastic and confident in leading groups and 1:1 sessions.
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is organised and able to plan and deliver structured weekly activities.
  • Is compassionate, patient and person-centred.
  • Has strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Is willing to complete all training and competencies.

  • Planning and delivering individual activity plans tailored to peoples' unique goals, interests and needs.
  • Supporting people to maintain their hobbies, routines, and interests.
  • Promoting choice, dignity, and independence.
  • Encouraging participation and keeping activity boards up to date so that they are visible and accessible.
  • Fostering links with local community groups, charities, and churches to enhance the range of activities available.
  • Fostering a community spirit through group activities.
  • Completing activity assessments for new residents and delivering meaningful, person-centred activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records of activities, participation, and outcomes.
  • Updating activity care plans in line with changing needs.
  • Attending and completing all mandatory and role-specific training.

Killelea House is a care setting dedicated to supporting residents in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment. We are committed to providing high-quality care and ensuring residents' wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Following their latest successful CQC inspection, the now Outstanding Killelea offers adult rehabilitation for those who have suffered a health condition and are well enough to leave hospital but may not be ready to live independently again at their own home.

About the Role

Please note: this role does not offer visa sponsorship.

The role of an Activities Coordinator ensures that all activities are person-centred and inclusive, promoting independence, self-esteem, and enjoyment for all abilities.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate a varied programme of meaningful activities that promote the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of residents.

As an Activities Co-ordinator at Killelea, you will ensure residents have opportunities for engagement, stimulation, and personalised experiences that enhance their quality of life.

About You

We are looking for someone who:
