Activities Co‑ordinator
Location: Madley Park House, Witney, Oxfordshire
Pay Rate: £13.19 per hour (plus weekend and NVQ enhancements available)
Contracted Hours: 22 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, working one Saturday a month
Our homes are vibrant, joyful communities, and a key part of creating a happy atmosphere is the wide range of stimulating activities and entertainment we provide for our residents. As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for creating and delivering an ongoing programme of activities and events that engage residents, promote their independence, and are tailored to meet their individual needs. Many of our residents are living with various age‑related conditions, but they still strive to lead a full and active life. You’ll get to know them, find out what they love to do—or perhaps used to love to do—and help create new memories with them. You’ll become part of our extended family, working alongside team members who are passionate about providing care, warmth, and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.
Madley Park House is a warm and welcoming 'home from home' offering round‑the‑clock residential, early‑stage dementia, and respite care with amenities including a hair salon and residents’ shop. Situated in a quiet location in the thriving market town of Witney, the home has strong links to the local community.
The Trust is a great place to work; we’ve been providing care for almost 1,000 years and are currently the second largest not‑for‑profit provider in the UK. Not‑for‑profit means that every penny we make is reinvested into our residents, colleagues, and the care homes we operate. Therefore, we offer a range of benefits, including a competitive salary, training and development.
You’ll either be experienced in creating, organising, and delivering events and activities or have worked with elderly people in a residential setting. Either way, you’ll be confident in engaging with our residents to understand what they love to do as a group or one‑to‑one. You’ll be comfortable engaging with the local community, bringing people in to enhance your activities programme as necessary, and encouraging team members, relatives, and friends to participate. If you think you have the right skills and attitude, we’d love to hear from you as the next Activities Coordinator.
We reserve the right to close this role before the closing date, with no advance notice. We encourage you to complete an application as soon as possible if you’re interested.
