Job summary

Etive House Care Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities. You will tailor sessions to individual interests and care needs, promoting wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

Join a supportive team in a village setting, with training provided to develop in the role and opportunities to work with residents including those living with dementia.

Qualifications

  • Experience in activities or similar roles is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to individuals.

Job description

Located in the beautiful village of Benderloch by Oban, we offer small group living accommodation for up to 62-residents.

  • £14.06 per hour
  • Contracted to 40 hours per week
  • Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview

As Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing daily life by delivering engaging, meaningful and person centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Building strong relationships is essential, enabling a clear understanding of preferences and supporting inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia.

Working as part of the wider team, the role contributes to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care, with training and support provided to help you develop in the role.

  • A genuine interest in supporting older people
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, however candidates with transferable skills from roles such as hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply
