A leading charity organization in Ipswich is seeking an Activities Coordinator to design and deliver programs that promote wellbeing, learning, and social inclusion for adults with disabilities. Papworth Trust are looking for creative and compassionate Activity Coordinator to design and deliver engaging programmes that promote wellbeing, learning, independence, and social inclusion for adults with disabilities. This is a full-time, permanent role based as part of our Ipswich team.

As an Activities Coordinator, you will work with customers, families, and professionals to provide meaningful experiences and ensure high-quality, person-centred support. Delivering creative activities that support people with diverse needs, enhancing their social skills, wellbeing, learning, and independence. Working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, with additional support at the social club on Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings (paid as time in lieu or overtime).
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be committed to the values of the Trust and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. You will be adaptable, compassionate, and confident in supporting individuals with diverse needs. Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills are essential, along with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role supporting people with learning and physical disabilities, delivering accessible activities, and assisting with personal care and mobility. We would be open to hearing from candidates with strong transferable skills who share our passion for empowering others and are willing to learn, adaptable and have the ability create and follow individual support plans. Driving licence would be advantages, as well as willingness to train to drive minibus.
The post will be subject to an Enhanced with Adults Barred Service (DBS) check process.
