Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking an Activities Co-Ordinator at Adswood Lodge in Stockport. You will organise and lead meaningful activities for residents, helping them to live fulfilled and happy lives within a supportive team.

The role focuses on creating individual activity plans, promoting community involvement, and encouraging residents’ hobbies while ensuring dignity and independence are maintained.

Qualifications

• Ability to organise and lead engaging activities.
• Experience or interest in caring for adults in a residential setting.
• Willingness to work in a care home environment and learn person-centered approaches.

Responsibilities

• Organise individual activity plans based on residents' goals and interests.
• Lead group activities to foster community and engagement.
• Support residents to pursue hobbies, interests and educational opportunities.
• Encourage residents to participate in local community activities.
• Celebrate awareness days, holidays and achievements in a respectful manner.

Contract type: 30 hours per week

Rate: £12.71 per hour

Are you an enthusiastic people person who loves to bring the fun? As an Activities Coordinator, you’ll organise and lead meaningful and entertaining activities for the people we support. About The Role

Our Activities Coordinators organise creative and fun activities for the people we support. No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• organising individual activity plans based on people’s unique goals and interests
• fostering community spirit through group activities
• supporting people to maintain their current, and take up new, hobbies, interests and educational opportunities
• assisting people to become more involved in their local community
• celebrating national awareness days, holidays and individual/collective achievements
• promoting choice, dignity and independence.
