Job Advert Location Description

Lakeside View is a 30-bed hospital in Willenhall caring for patients aged 18 and over in an acute setting.

• Finch Ward - 13-bed male acute ward
• Robin Ward - 8-bed male acute ward
• Swan Ward - 9-bed female acute ward

The aim at Lakeside View is to provide a person-centred and therapeutic environment that promotes collaborative care planning to achieve treatment goals. From admission, our goal is to support patients in discharging safely back into the community for continued recovery in a less restrictive environment.

This will be achieved by:

• Thorough assessment of individual needs throughout admission
• Person-centred collaborative treatment plans
• A range of interventions from a diverse MDT
• Caring for patients in the least restrictive environment

The wards offer excellent space and facilities, including en-suite bedrooms and large living areas with activity equipment such as games consoles. Outside, a purpose-built therapy suite features a rehabilitation kitchen for cooking sessions and a therapy room. The hospital is located within an extensive nature reserve with abundant flora and fauna, and has outdoor sports areas.

The clinical team encourages full involvement of service users, families, and external professionals through ward reviews and CPA meetings, ensuring clear communication to promote recovery and facilitate discharge. Interventions include a variety of therapeutic approaches, combining psychiatric and cognitive-behavioural perspectives with occupational therapy, psychology, leisure, and recreational activities.

Working alongside nursing and therapy teams, you will assist professional and clinical staff in planning, implementing, and evaluating social activities to enhance mental, emotional well-being, and quality of life for clients.

At Lakeside View, we emphasize the importance of physical health in maintaining good mental health. You will play a key role in promoting and providing physical activities alongside other therapeutic sessions.
