The role of Activities Co-Ordinator at Aria Healthcare's Dormy House in Sunningdale, Berkshire is an exciting opportunity to enhance the lives of residents through engaging and stimulating activities. The home is a highly-rated 88-bed residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care facility, and the successful candidate will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the well-being and quality of life for the residents.

Main duties of the job

As the Activities Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing and facilitating a range of activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents. This includes arts, crafts, music, games, outings and other forms of entertainment and engagement. You will work closely with the care team to understand the residents' preferences and tailor the activities accordingly. The role requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as a genuine passion for improving the lives of the elderly and vulnerable.

Qualifications
  • While previous experience in a care setting or activities coordination role would be advantageous, it is not essential. The key requirements are a passion for working with the elderly, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to plan and deliver engaging activities. A relevant qualification in art, music, drama or a related field would be desirable.
