The Activities Co-Ordinator role at Kippingtons Nursing Home in Sevenoaks, Kent is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the residents. As part of the Aria Healthcare team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating a range of engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of the 55-bed residential, nursing, and dementia home. With a focus on promoting physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure residents can make the most of every day.

Main duties of the job

As an Activities Co-Ordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:- Developing and implementing a comprehensive activities program that encompasses physical, cognitive, social, and therapeutic elements- Engaging residents in various activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, and outings to stimulate their interests and enhance their overall wellbeing- Collaborating with the wider care team to identify individual resident needs and preferences, and tailoring activities accordingly- Ensuring all activities adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a safe and inclusive environment- Documenting resident participation and progress, and providing regular feedback to the management team- Fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes dignity, respect, and a sense of community among residents
