Job summary

Voyage Care Melksham is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver engaging activities that promote growth and independence for residents. You’ll work closely with care colleagues to tailor experiences, monitor engagement, and report outcomes in line with service goals.

Ideal candidates will hold a full UK driving license, be flexible, compassionate, and creative, with a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license required.
• Experience in activities coordination or care settings preferred.
• Strong communication and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities for residents to promote growth and independence.

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands‑on Activities Coordinators with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support through the planning and delivery of meaningful, engaging activities that promote growth and develop new skills. Our Activities Coordinators work closely with our care colleagues to support a fantastic group of people!

Our large residential service, set just off the main street in Melksham, is a beautiful home, an activity room and a spacious back garden where people can develop their own plot and has a welcoming and friendly environment. You can be sure that no two days will be the same!

Our Activity Coordinators don’t simply organise activities, they craft experiences for the people we support with meaning and purpose ensuring that therapeutic opportunities are open and available to all. You could be organising events and activities within the service, or you could be planning activities that enable the people we support to access their local communities in meaningful ways. Choice will be at the heart of your planning, and you will work closely with the people we support, the service manager and our colleagues to ensure that the experiences you create are both unique and tailored to individual needs. You’ll accurately record and report on the activities that you offer and the session engagement to ensure we are constantly meeting the needs of the people we support.
