A family-owned care provider in Kingswear seeks an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to design and deliver activities for residents. Are you a compassionate and creative individual who loves making a difference in people’s lives? We are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team and support residents in leading fulfilling and engaging lives.
As Activities Assistant, you will take the lead in planning, organising and delivering a varied programme of activities that promote emotional, social, physical and intellectual well‑being. You’ll work closely with the care team to ensure each resident is engaged in meaningful occupation and has the opportunity to enjoy every day to the fullest.
You will design and deliver a diverse range of group and one‑to‑one activities tailored to residents’ individual interests, hobbies and needs. From creative arts to music sessions, gentle exercise, themed events and day trips, you’ll ensure everyone is encouraged and supported to take part. You’ll build meaningful relationships with residents and help maintain their connections with family and friends through regular visits and video calls. You’ll also document participation in care plans, complete risk assessments for outings and work collaboratively with the wider team to create a vibrant, inclusive and joyful atmosphere in the home.
