Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Wellbeing and Lifestyle Assistant for our Hornchurch home. You will design daily activity schedules and coordinate programs that support residents’ wellbeing, social engagement, and spiritual needs.

You’ll help run events like Summer Fete, collect feedback, and report to the General Manager while collaborating with Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams. A full, clean driving licence is preferred and prior health‑care exposure is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• IT skills and basic computer literacy.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a packed daily schedule of activities to meet residents’ physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Organise and run events throughout the year (e.g., Summer Fete).
• Provide regular activity feedback and reports to the General Manager.
• Work across departments (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Wellbeing & Lifestyle) as required.

Your Role at Signature

From floristry to folk music, as Wellbeing and Lifestyle Assistant, you’ll bring a wealth of ideas to improve and maintain our residents’ wellbeing. You’ll producea packed daily schedule that caters to residents’ physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. You’ll also organise key events throughout the year such asour Summer Fete.

You’ll be considerate of the diverse needs of individuals in a group situation, and aware of everyone’s personal care needs. Meaningful activities enhance our residents quality of life and that is why it is important to understand their likes and dislikes. You’ll also gain regular feedback from residents and provide activity reports to the General Manager.

Internally, this role is called Hospitality Assistant, if you are successful this will be your job title. You will be required to work across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
