Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking an Active Schools Coordinator to motivate children and young people to adopt active lifestyles across schools and communities. You will support new initiatives to facilitate regular, safe and enjoyable sport and physical activities, working with partners to promote inclusion and diversity.

The role requires a degree or equivalent, experience in sport and customer service, and strong communication, teamwork, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent in a relative discipline
• Experience in sport and physical activity environment
• Experience of working with customers and delivering customer focused services
• Excellent communicator with team working, influencing and negotiating skills

Responsibilities

• Provide opportunities and motivation to children and young people in North Lanarkshire schools and communities to adopt active, healthy lifestyles
• Develop and implement initiatives to promote regular, safe and enjoyable sport and physical activities
• Collaborate with partners to deliver customer focused services and promote equality and diversity in sport
