Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Snodland to deliver letters and parcels from Medway Valley Delivery Office. You’ll work 30 hours per week across five days in seven, including weekends, with a rotating shift. Full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van are provided.

You’ll drive a Royal Mail van daily, walk long distances, and deliver in all weather. The role is physically demanding but rewarding, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
