Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Ayr is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will sort, deliver and build relationships with customers in Ayr, working 35:50 hours per week across Monday to Saturday with some weekends and possible overtime.

Requires a full manual UK driving licence, ability to pass a driving assessment, and fitness for outdoor work. Training provided and a guaranteed route with a friendly, active role.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with max 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with good organisation and resilience.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
