Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited in Wheatley is currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join our manufacturing client. This hands-on outdoor role involves moving vehicles and materials, keeping the yard tidy, and working to safety standards.

Immediate starts available and a steady, busy schedule. You should have yard or merchant experience, a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable operating or reporting on equipment like forklifts or JCBs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a merchant or yard environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of maintaining yard equipment and vehicles.
• Minimum 1 year yard experience preferred (but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily yard activities, including movement of vehicles, materials, and equipment.
• Loading and unloading lorries.
• Maintaining, servicing, or reporting defects on machinery (e.g. forklifts, JCBs).
• Ensuring health & safety policies are followed at all times.
• Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe.
