Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Aberystwyth invites applications for a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a six-month fixed-term contract. You will work 35 hours per week across Monday to Saturday, earning £13.68 per hour with paid overtime, and you’ll use a Royal Mail van.

This outdoor, active role involves delivering letters and parcels, building relationships with customers, and working a rotating rota including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
