Job summary

Creative Support is recruiting a Senior Support Worker to assist the Middlesbrough Floating Support Service management team. You will lead the team in delivering day-to-day support for individuals with Complex Mental Health and Learning Disabilities, applying person-centred practice and promoting high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a staff team and devising rotas.
• Strong communication, computer and motivational skills.
• Experience working with individuals with Complex Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
• Willingness to work towards a role-specific qualification.
• Clean driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for individuals with complex mental health and learning disabilities.
• Develop and manage rotas, support planning and service delivery in partnership with management.
• Contribute to management team meetings and participate in development opportunities.
• Ensure safeguarding and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Support staff development and training through Creative Academy and related development opportunities.

Creative Support have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Support Worker to assist the Management Team at our Middlesbrough Floating Support Service. You will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver the day-to-day provision of support for individuals with Complex Mental Health and Learning Disability needs. As a Senior Support Worker you must have a good understanding of Mental Health and Disability needs, person-centred practice, and have a real commitment to your development and to the development of the service. You will be expected to contribute to management team meetings and to partake in development opportunities. You must be able to lead a team by example, demonstrating positive practice and values at all times. We offer a supportive management approach for Senior Support staff, and offer a full induction and access to relevant training. We are looking for someone who has strong commination, computer and motivational skills. Previous
experience of providing care and support to people with Complex Mental Health and Learning Disabilities is essential. We expect our Senior Support workers to be working towards or willing to work towards a role specific qualification.
