Responsibilities

As a rapidly growing pharmacy we are looking to add a Accuracy Checking Technician(ACT) or/and other dispensers qualified to accuracy check dispensed medicines.

Responsibilities
  • You will be working alongside the pharmacist and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy on a day to day basis.
  • You will be assisting with the management of pharmacy stock and inventory.
  • You will be addressing queries and communicating with patients, customers and others over the phone.
  • You will be preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.
  • You will be completing the final accuracy check on dispensed medications before they are supplied to the patient.

Job Details
  • Number of Positions: 1
  • Total Hours: Between 22-26 hours
  • Schedule: Over 4 days, Monday-Friday (negotiable)
  • Monday 11:30am – 5:30pm
  • Tuesday 11:30am – 5:30pm
  • Wednesday 11:30am – 5:30pm
  • Thursday 11:30am – 5:30pm
  • A total of 24 hours weekly
  • Probation: 6 months
  • Pay and Remuneration: £14.50 to £16/hr (Depending on experience)
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Registration where required with the appropriate body as an accuracy checker e.g. GPhC.
  • A clearance on the enhanced DBS check.
  • A willingness to learn and a positive attitude towards work in a professional healthcare setting is essential.
  • Good IT skills and ability to adapt to and learn new software and systems.
  • You will need to have excellent communication skills and a passion for helping patients.
  • You can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high-quality healthcare service.
  • You will need the ability to work well in a team and adapt to fast-paced environments (as well as show efficiency in a slow-paced setting).
