Job summary

Superdrug is seeking an Accuracy Checking Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and the dispensary team in Glasgow. You’ll listen to customers, apply knowledge to advise on products and services, and help maximise sales while ensuring accuracy of prescriptions.

What you bring: NVQ Level 3 in Dispensing, a current Accuracy Checker qualification and GPhC registration, plus experience in community pharmacy. You’ll thrive in a busy team and be keen to learn new services for the business.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Dispensing required.
• Up-to-date Accuracy Checker qualification and GPhC registration required.
• Experience in community pharmacy preferred.
• Able to work well in a team and under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional services.

Responsibilities

• Listen to customers and identify needs, providing advice and helping maximise sales.
• Support the efficient running of the dispensary and assist on the counter when needed.
• Perform final accuracy checks where appropriate.
• Work closely with the Pharmacy Manager and team to deliver great customer service.

Location: Mearns Cross

Hours: 32 hours per week, working over 4 days between Monday to Friday.

Salary: £16.10 per hour

The Role

Our Accuracy Checking Technicians support the Pharmacy Manager and pharmacy team to deliver great customer service. A big part of this exciting role involves listening to customers and using your experience and product knowledge to identify customer needs, providing advice and helping maximise sales. Your role at Superdrug will mainly involve supporting the efficient running of the dispensary and you will also be required to support the counter when necessary. You will also perform the final accuracy check where appropriate.

About You

• Must have a NVQ Level 3 in Dispensing or equivalent
• Will hold an up to date Accuracy Checker qualification and be GPhC registered
• Have experience of working in community pharmacy
• Enjoy working in a team – working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Have a passion for learning and a willingness to be trained on additional services for the needs of the business.
