The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Technician or Semi Senior Accountant to join our client's growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, eager to progress their career within a reputable accountancy practice. You will work closely with senior accountants and managers, contributing to a wide range of accounting tasks across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  2. Assisting with tax computations and returns (personal and corporate).
  3. Supporting senior accountants with audit and assurance tasks.
  4. Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns.
  5. Liaising with clients to provide timely and accurate advice.
  6. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  7. Assisting in the preparation of management accounts.
  8. Collaborating with the wider team to deliver exceptional client service.
The Ideal Candidate
  1. AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
  2. Experience working within an accountancy practice (minimum 1-2 years).
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax legislation.
  4. Excellent IT skills, particularly with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  6. Organised, with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
