Main Duties
  • Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders up to the audit threshold
  • Preparing personal and corporate tax computations and returns
  • Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services
  • Filing documents with Companies House and HMRC on behalf of clients
  • Ensuring accounting records are maintained accurately and kept up to date
  • Preparing and completing quarterly VAT returns
  • Working in line with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Providing general administrative support to Partners, Managers, and the wider office

Attributes, Skills, Experience And Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice (essential)
  • AAT qualification, or be part-qualified with ongoing studies, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience preparing accounts for limited companies and unincorporated businesses
  • A friendly, positive, and approachable manner
  • Confidence in dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Resilience, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Initiative and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines
  • A professional and team-oriented approach
  • Good working knowledge of general IT (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic social media tools)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Accuracy and a strong eye for detail
Terms / Benefits
  • Up to 36.25 hours / 5 days per week.
