Job summary

A growing accountancy practice in Kelso is seeking an Accounts Technician to manage client portfolios and provide bookkeeping services. The ideal candidate will have experience or be pursuing relevant accounting qualifications, along with knowledge of cloud software such as Sage and Xero. Qualifications

  • Qualified by experience or studying towards an accountancy qualification.
  • Experience in an accounts technician role preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud accounting software.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a portfolio of clients.
  • Provide full bookkeeping service and complete VAT returns.
  • Prepare year-end accounts and financial statements.

Skills

Qualified by experience or currently studying ACCA, ACA, ICAS, AAT or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role
Good knowledge of Sage, Xero and other cloud software
Strong computer skills
Excellent time management
Self-motivated
Ability to work to deadlines
