Job summary

TPF Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager in Tunbridge Wells to join a well-established independent firm. You will manage a varied client portfolio and support Partners with ongoing growth while upholding a client-focused, down-to-earth culture.

The role covers statutory accounts, corporation tax, personal tax advisory work and mentoring junior staff. A strong practice background and ACA/ACCA qualification are essential, with flexible full- or part-time options.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Strong background in accounts and tax within general practice.
• Experience managing your own client portfolio and reviewing work.

The Role

As an Accounts & Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of clients and supporting the Partners with the continued growth of the firm.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and high net worth individuals
• Reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Overseeing personal tax compliance and advisory work
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice
• Managing, mentoring and reviewing work of junior staff
• Supporting with business development and identifying growth opportunities

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Strong background in general practice, covering both accounts and tax
• Experience managing your own client portfolio
• Confident reviewing work and supporting junior team members
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach

Benefits

• £45,000 - £50,000, dependent on experience and background, negotiable
