Job Title: Accounts & Tax Manager

TPF Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a fantastic independent chartered accountancy practice based in Tonbridge, Kent. Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience. This is a mixed tax & accounts position within a general practice capacity, ideal for an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager looking to join a growing team with exceptional exposure and genuine career prospects.

The practice services clients of various sizes, industries, and sectors, providing exposure to a wide variety of client types and scope. Our client offers excellent progression prospects, hybrid working, flexible hours, and a competitive remuneration package.

Responsibilities of the Accounts & Tax Manager include:

1. Understanding performance expectations and managing team members to meet these expectations
2. Maintaining regular client contact proactively, listening to needs, and suggesting initiatives or improvements
3. Applying technical expertise in accounting and tax, interpreting laws, regulations, and standards for a diverse client portfolio
4. Communicating clearly with both clients and team members
5. Preparing, overseeing, and reviewing the production of accounts for a variety of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
6. Preparing and reviewing corporate tax computations, VAT returns, and personal tax returns for submission to HMRC
7. Managing and supporting the development of junior staff members
