Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• ACA or ACCA in progress is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' accounting experience in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Xero/QuickBooks/Sage) for recording and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Lead the preparation of end-of-year accounts including balance sheets, P&L and cash flow statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries.
• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, nominal ledgers and intercompany transactions to maintain data integrity.
• Utilise accounting software to maintain digital records and streamline reporting processes.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all financial reporting and accounting functions. The Accounts Semi Senior will play a key role in preparing financial statements, managing end-of-year accounts, and supporting the financial health of the organisation. With a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience with accounting software, you will contribute to financial integrity while mentoring junior team members to foster professional growth.
