Job summary

Reed is partnering with a growing accountancy practice in Ilford, Essex to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior. The role focuses on technical accounts work and advising clients within a supportive team.

Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available to support progression toward ACCA or further qualifications. The successful candidate will hold AAT Level 3 (or be pursuing Level 4), have practice experience, and be proficient with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks, with a competitive salary of

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 qualification or progress toward Level 4.
• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist with the preparation of management accounts.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Support production of corporation tax computations.
• Liaise with clients regarding accounting queries.
• Maintain accurate client records and accounting software.
• Support senior team members with client assignments and ad-hoc projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
