Job summary

Jerroms is seeking an experienced accountant to prepare year-end statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for a varied client base in Solihull. You will also prepare management accounts, VAT returns and build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.

The role involves managing a client portfolio, supervising junior staff, and ensuring accurate records with timely delivery. A path to ACA/ACCA/AAT qualifications is supported, with opportunities to develop advisory skills.

Qualifications

• Studying AAT / ACCA / ACA
• Experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice
• Professional, organised approach to work

Responsibilities

• The preparation of year end statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
• Preparation of management accounts for a varied range of clients
• Preparation and/or review of VAT returns
• Develop strong and lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and becoming a trusted advisor
• Manage a client portfolio, ensuring accurate and up to date records
• Oversee the preparation and review of client accounts, support client decision-making and contribute to advisory work as needed
• Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, ensuring quality and fostering growth through sound knowledge sharing and hands-on support
• Manage your workload and deadlines effectively while ensuring deliver of an exceptional service
