In this role, you will manage your own portfolio, handle client interactions, prepare accounts and ensure compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have AAT/ACCA qualifications or extensive experience in accountancy practices, alongside strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

Job description

Clark Wood is excited to partner with a prominent independent accounting firm based in Leyburn, North Yorkshire as they seek a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and delivering exceptional service. This role involves direct client interaction, providing valuable advice and resolving queries effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, including tax computations and capital allowance calculations from both manual and digital records, without relying solely on automated software feeds.

Prepare self-assessment, partnership, and CT600 tax returns.

Utilize various accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Tax Calc, VT, and Microsoft Excel.

Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

Provide training to clients on digital systems as needed.

Attend relevant courses to enhance your professional development.

Requirements:

AAT or ACCA qualifications are preferred, but we encourage applications from experienced individuals who have chosen not to pursue formal studies.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
